FLIP A COIN, Ahmed Al Bahraini Solo Exhibition

In Flip a Coin, the Iraqi artist Ahmad Al Bahraini approaches chance not as randomness, but as a structure that reveals underlying systems of decision, value, and consequence. The gesture of the coin toss, simple, binary, and seemingly neutral, becomes a device through which certainty is unsettled and control is questioned.

The works operate within this tension. Forms and materials suggest balance, yet never resolve into stability. Each piece holds a suspended moment between outcomes, where opposing forces such as precision and unpredictability, intention and accident, coexist without hierarchy.

Rather than offering resolution, the exhibition frames uncertainty as an active condition. Flip a Coin situates Al Bahraini’s practice within a space where decisions are made, deferred, or displaced, where meaning emerges not from fixed positions, but from the friction between them.
