CONTEMPORARY ISTANBUL, Curatorial Presentation
This presentation brought together a selection of artists spanning distinct geographies and practices, positioning their works within a shared spatial and conceptual framework. The booth operated as a point of convergence, where material, gesture, and form unfolded across different scales and cultural contexts.
Featuring works by Najia Mehadji, Ali Hassan, Youssef Ahmad, Fernando Botero, Chaouki Chamoun, and Jason Martin, the presentation moved between abstraction and figuration, density and restraint, establishing a dialogue that resisted uniformity.
Rather than imposing a singular narrative, the presentation allowed each practice to retain its autonomy while contributing to a broader reading of contemporary production. The result was a cohesive yet open structure, where contrasts were not resolved but held in tension.
