ONCE UPON A BUTTERFLY, Said Baalbaki Solo Exhibition

A Lebanese artist whose practice is inseparable from the fractures of war, displacement, and collective memory, Said Baalbaki builds a visual world where debris becomes symbol and wreckage carries the full weight of history. His paintings operate as dense, layered fields where the remnants of conflict, tents, ropes, salvaged materials and displaced bodies surface and dissolve within compositions of painterly intensity.

This solo presentation brought together works that moved between the intimate and the monumental, each canvas demanding an engagement not only with its formal power but with the urgency of what it refuses to let go.
