Habitas Resort

Commissioned by Qatar Airways, the art program at Our Habitas Ras Abrouq explores the relationship between contemporary craftsmanship, architecture, and the desert landscape of western Qatar.

Developed and delivered through Anima Gallery, the program encompassed art consultancy, artist selection, bespoke commissions, and project management.

A monumental six-meter sculpture anchors the resort's entrance, drawing inspiration from the geological formations of Ras Abrouq. Throughout the villas, dining spaces, and communal areas, handcrafted works in woven fibers, carved wood, and metal reflect the textures and material character of the surrounding landscape.

Together, these interventions create a cohesive artistic environment rooted in craftsmanship, simplicity, and a sense of place.
